Lundhs Antique

Lundhs Antique is an anorthosite consisting mainly of plagiclase feldspar (labradorite). This plagiclase often have a beautiful iridescence known as labradorescence.
Lundhs Antique is a coarse grained rock with a deep brown colour. Some of the plagioclase crystals have a beautiful bluish dark colour. Previous trading name for this material was Labrador Antique.
Anorthosites are interpretated to be very old of origin (Protezozoic) and occur in large plutonic areas called batholites.
